Rabbitear's footsteps were quick and jerky because of the snow and ice that seemed to stretch out and drag at his paws. Oh, how he despised the cold! Still, though, the brown tabby managed to keep himself concentrated on what was really important: fetching fresh kill for his clanmates. He gently rose his muzzle to the air, drawing in the cold, scentless air. Rabbitear dropped his head to hide, disappointment lancing through his tabby pelt. You have those large ears for a reason, why not put them to use? Rabbitear pricked his ears up and listened strictly for any prey sounds.
Fwoomp! Fwoomp He suddenly caught the sound of small feet dropping through the snow as it walked. Turning slightly, the brown warrior noticed a clump of fern fronds-- or used to be fern fronds before the frost got to it-- shaking. Rabbitear crouched down and waited until he could see the white rabbit's entire body before giving a great leap and crushing it under his greater weight.
He had to admit, it was a little bit on the small side, but any prey was good prey, right? He whipped his head around to look at the rest of the patrol, rabbit in his jaws, before burying it in a snow bank and retruning to the others.

Dawnfire followed after Rabbitear, that amused look still in her eyes from earlier. "Nice." She complimented Rabbitear. "That should feed a few kits." To other's that may not have sounded like a compliment. But it was Dawnfire's own way of saying, 'Nicely done, furball'.
