"these cats have wings."
“Run!” A shriek intercepted the peaceful chirps of crickets. Panic filled the air, splitting into the dark of night. A fire was spreading, engulfing the trees, eating away at the west side of a magnificent island. The thundering of feet and paws began drowning out the crackle of the flames, as creatures of all shapes and sizes ran. They fled the area. No one waited for those left behind, they were all dying anyway. The air became thicker, and the creatures struggled to breathe. Those who flew, fell, into the flames. Those who ran collapsed, the flames swallowing them whole.
Meanwhile, one human stood on the beach, watching this all go down, her own breath shorted. Her eyes were glazed and her body rigid as she gazed at the burning forest, hearing the cries and shouts of her kind, and others. It was a terrible scene, everything playing out in front of her. She thought the bomb would work, would break the invisible barrier that cut them off from the world. The barrier created by their own machines. But her plan had backfired. Radiation was filling the air, and she blinked her glazed eyes.
“What have I done?”

Now, four volants roam, survivors from the terrible accident. They know nothing of anything on the East side of the island, but they must travel there, for their own homeland has been destroyed. These creatures, cats with wings, are like nothing ever seen on the East side before, and when they collide with a group of cats who call themselves OceanClan, they don't know what to expect. But then, neither does OceanClan. You see, terrible things are beginning to occur. Waves are growing higher and more deadly, the beaches are beginning to acquire strange animals, and the forest itself they live in holds surprises, however unwanted, around every corner. This clan turns to the four catwings, as they call the volants, for help. They know what happened, what is causing this disaster. But, how can these creatures let their minds return to the dreadful day their lives were swept away from them in the rampaging fire? How can they face those haunting nightmares once more? And, is there any survivor that can help them?
