Eaglestar lay in the leaders den. He couldn't help remembering the last time he was here. It was still a sore memory, and he knew it would be until he himself joined StarClan. But Eaglestar pushed that to the back of his mind and rose from his nest. He was the leader of WindClan, and he was going to do his job. He pushed himself out of the entrance, pausing for a moment to survey his busy Clan. For a moment, he felt proud. They were his cats now, and he would do all he could to protect them.
Eaglestar leapt to the top of the place where all the leaders before him had called the Clan. Now it was his turn. He knew he should yowl the traditional words, but he felt like being an annoying furball at the moment. "HEY, WINDCLAN!! GET YOUR FURRY HIDES OUT HERE! TIME FOR A CLAN MEETING!" He yowled at the top of his lungs. Yeah, that would get some complaints...

The dreams that flooded through Wispstripe's cranium were sweet; as sweet as milk and honey. Dreams of good prey, warm weather and her caring mother were very soft and soothing, so much that she early on decided that it would be best to not wake up and keep on dreaming. The plan worked; she wasn't needed until the sunhigh patrol. But, she had been unaware of the early morning announcements that Eaglestar liked to start.
"HEY, WINDCLAN!! GET YOUR FURRY HIDES OUT HERE! TIME FOR A CLAN MEETING!"
The creamy white femme was jerked out of her dream at the sound of the voice. It was Eaglestar. Why did he have to yell so loud? Yowling in protest, she shook the sleep out of her eyes and angrily padded into the clearing. A cold wind rushed through her fur and she desperately wanted to run back inside the nice and warm warrior's den. But, a meeting was a meeting, so she had to be content with sitting on the snowy ground listening to announcements that probably didn't even concern her. Great.

Eagletstar desperately held in a snicker as Wispstripe, one of his warriors, stormed from the den. Even from where he stood, the leader could feel the anger radiating from the she-cat's pelt. Oohh, was he gonna get told off after this!

((This thing is a few days old but I'll try anyways xD))
Smudgepaw groaned and rolled in her nest. There was some noise outside, but she was too sleepy to discern it. What kind of stupid furbrain would wake up at this time of the day? She dragged herself outside and shook herself awake. Walking, still groggy, to Pointedstone, she plopped herself next to Wispstrip and glared at the new leader who had so rudely woken them up.

It seemed like Wispstripe wasn't the only one who wasn't too pleased about waking up to such racket. Smudgepaw also seemed a little on the tired side this morning. Figures, waking up like this. Trying to put on a cheery personality, the femme smiled and looked down to talk to the apprentice. "Morning, Smudgepaw. Do you know who your mentor will be yet?" She was quite aware on how the aprentice hadn't started her training, but then again, maybe she had missed the ceremony. Maybe.

"Nope, not yet," Smudgepaw replied, with a slightly downcast look on her face--or was it just sleepiness? "I can only hope that it's going to be soon. There aren't many warriors to choose from, are there?" she added, looking around at the empty camp. "Shouldn't be too hard."
((Bah, I'm having writer's block >:U))

Eaglestar refused to wait for much longer. When the majority of WindClan stood before him, he cast his eyes about for a single warrior in paticular. "As new leader of WindClan, it is my duty to name a new deputy. But I also have a few other pieces of business to tend to after that."

"HEY, WINDCLAN!! GET YOUR FURRY HIDES OUT HERE! TIME FOR A CLAN MEETING!"
Inkpaw yawned, woken by his leader's call. He padded next to his sister, Smudgepaw, his large ears pricked. His leader was one of the few cats he listened to without interrupting. At least, not too much.
He licked himself, trying to get his fur to stop sticking out awkwardly. He turned his attention back to Eaglestar, listening carefully to what he had to say.

Smudgepaw's ears pricked curiously. Would Inkpaw and she finally get their mentors? They were apprentices--well, not true apprentices since they didn't have mentors, but they were over 6 moons old--but with the hectic activities going around, such as their previous leader dieing, Eaglestar taking over, there hadn't really been much time to name their mentors. Her body quivered in excitement at the thought. I hope my mentor will teach me well. Perhaps I can actually catch something for a change, she thought to herself. She glanced around at her Clanmates. They were so sleek, so thin, so fast, and look at her--the fattest cat in Windclan. Sure, she was bestowed with other talents, but she wanted to be the best.
Smudgepaw snapped out of her thoughts and turned her attention back to Eaglestar. Stop daydreaming, stupid furball. The ceremony hasn't even started yet!

Eaglestar looked up at the sky, where the final warrior of StarClan was disappearing. "I say these words before StarClan, so our warrior ancestors may hear and approve my choice." He took a deep breath. "The new deputy of WindClan will be..." He let that sentence trail off, letting the tension rise. He loved this job, he really did.

Wispstripe's paws kneaded at the ground quietly, impatient for the results. She knew that she probably wouldn't get the rank- it would be quite surprising if she did- but she wanted to be the first to congratulate the warrior that had grown to become a deputy. Turning her head, the femme watched Inkpaw and Smudgepaw, brother and sister, looking at their leader with a somewhat pleading gaze. Surely they would get their mentors today? After all, they were six moons old with their apprentice names. It made sense, right?

Inkpaw gazed up at Eaglestar, his dark amber eyes sparkling with curiosity, unable to wait for him to announce the new deputy. Hopefully he and his sister would be getting their mentors tonight, as well...

Smudgepaw grumbled, "How nice, making us wake up at the crack of dawn, then holding the suspense once we've all woken up and are ready to hear it." She tried giving Eaglestar a curious and patient look but it came out like she had just eaten a maggot infested piece of fresh kill.
((Spot, you made an oopsie. xD We haven't gotten our warrior names yet. I think you meant apprentice?))

The scent of herbs clung to Ashpaw's short grey fur as he made his way into the WindClan camp. He had decided to go out to see if he could restock earlier that morning when he could no longer sleep. His mind had been too busy with thoughts of just about everything and knew that the only way to make it at ease was to do what he liked best - his job.
As Ashpaw entered the camp, his ears pricked up at the soft chatter and meows of cats not too far away. He blinked and came to a short stop to observe what was happening in front of him, only to nod subtly and carry on his way. Eaglestar must have called a Clan meeting while I was gone... He thought to himself. I'd better drop the herbs off first - no use turning up to the meeting with them dangling from my mouth!
Ashpaw squeezed his way into the Medicine Cat den, all the scents now mixing together. He breathed in deeply before padding to the back of the den to drop off the fresh supply of herbs he had collected. He scanned the supplies, reciting the herbs he remembered the names of in his head as he did every morning. Horsetail goes here... He reminded himself as he dropped the bundle onto the ground and shifted it into a neat stack next to the poppy seeds. Stepping back, he nodded again, then made his way back into the camp.
The grey tom walked towards the back of the gathered group, sitting down well away from the other cats. His ears twitched as he curled his tail around his paws, his green eyes skimming the gathered crowd of cats. He then turned his attention up towards Eaglestar, wondering what his intentions of calling the meeting were.
