Wetfoot slowly stalked through the pine trees, his black and white pelt blending smoothly with the fuzzy shadows cast by the pine needles. Small, golden shafts of light managed to squeeze their way through the pine trees, casting dappled patterns on the spongey forest floor. A bird sang from somewhere above, and there was a quiet rustling in the undergrowth from somewhere ahead.
Slowly, Wetfoot carried on again, opening his mouth and catching the tempting aroma of a mouse. One white forepaw after the other, Wetfoot pulled himself quietly over the pine strewn forest floor until he could see the small brown creature. It was burrowing under the pine needles among the roots of a pine tree, looking for seeds and other things to eat. Wetfoot crept closer, until he was finally close enough to spring upon the unsuspecting mouse.
Wetfoot leapt, tossing up pine needles behind him as he leapt across the ground and caught the mouse by surprise. The small, brown creature made a move to run off, but it was too late. Wetfoot killed the mouse with a swift bite to the neck, killing it before the mouse could even squeal. The black and white tom looked down at his first catch of the day in sastifaction, then picked up the mouse in his jaws before heading off through the trees in search of his next victim.

A flash of chocolate brown fur weaved through the undergrowth after seemingly nothing. It stopped and lifted the discs of ice above his muzzle to the sky. "I smell... " the tom broke off quietly and redisappeared into the bracken.
Huh! Your losing your touch, Rabbitear the chocolate tom mused silently as he found himself deeper than he expected inside his territory. Rabbitear stalked forward cautiously, light as a bird's wing. Finally, the tantalizing scent that he smelled before was found. He pricked up his large ears and swiveled them towards the sound of long, relaxed breaths. Rabbitear's vision was slightly blurred due to the invisible sigh of the wind that caused his eyes to water, but he was certain that the form just in front of him was feline. He leaped out, but stopped suddenly as he recognized the black and white pelt of Wetfoot. The black striped tom blinked his watery eyes and greeted the other tom, awkwardly trying to regain his collectance,"Uh, how's the prey?"
