Running Away (open)

[Moon]

A black tom with fire orange eyes ran from the direction of Twolegplace. I gotta get away from those humans! he thought frantically. His paws thudded on the ground as he ran. He started to slow, and after a moment he stoped. The tom bent his head down to scent the ground. A familiar smell wafted into his nose. He payed it no mind as always. He trotted on and came to a clearing. He sniffed around and laied down. I`ll stay here for a while. Who needs humans? he decided. Within a few moments, he grew tired so he curled up, tail-tip over his nose, he fell asleep in the sunlight filtering through.

[Storm]

Though leaf-bare always brought the ever-noticeable lack of prey and herbs for the medicine cats, Stormclaw thought it was pretty. The ShadowClan deputy wasn't one to hand out compliments on a silver platter, but if she had to call something pretty leaf-bare would be it. The sight of yellow, red, orange and brown leaves whispering down from their home on the tall branches, while clear blue or pale grey skys watched overhead. Sighing, Stormclaw sat down and breathed in. She had come out with the intentions of doing just a little hunting before she was due for a patrol, but had gotten sidetracked. Even the tough she-cat had a moment of weakness once and a while.

That moment didn't last long, however. A strange, unknown scent caught her attention and she whipped around. A male cat - not from another Clan, but who cared? - had been there . . . recently, too. Fighting back a hiss, Stormclaw crouched down and stalked forwards. If another cat was stealing their prey, and it was possible, they had to be stopped. Even if it was just one cat, it was one less mouth of the Clan fed. One Queen, or Elder, or Apprentice, or even the Leader, would be hungrier than necessary!

And regardless, no one (and she meant no one) trespassed on ShadowClan territory! Not without permission and supervision. Eventually she reached the edge of a clearing. Peering from around a yellowing bush, her green eyes landed on a dark, night-coloured tom curled in the grass. In three short heartbeats, Stormclaw crossed the clearing and stood directly in front of the newcomer, looking down in distaste. Perhaps she should have gone back to the Clan first . . . but, then again, there was only one of him.

With a silent hiss of annoyance and fury, she reached out and prodded him with a paw. No point in making this day any more miserable than discovering him had made it, right? If he ran, however, he'd sure be in for a surprise...

Matrix opened his eyes, let out an annoyed hiss, and got up. Who was waking him? Perhaps he should`ve thought differently. "What do you want?" he spat bitterly. Claws unsheathed, he glared at the she-cat who`d woken him.

Echopaw rounded the bush in search of herbs and ran headlong into Stormclaw. "OH! Hi Stormclaw! Didn't mean to run into you."she mewed hastily. " Have you seen any catnip? I belive one of the kittens has whitecough."she smiled at Stormclaw. At that moment some movment caught her eye. She spun around hissing and her back arched. She looked into the eyes of another cat. Then the smell hit her nose. "Kittypet!" she snarled.

[Moon]

OOC: No offence, Cherrystar. That`s just his nature.

"Yeah? So? And if you want catnip, I know where to find it. So don`t be calling me a kittypet, you mouse-brained peice of fox dung!" he spat, every hair on his pelt bristling. His eyes flamed with anger, but soon he was calm and forced his pelt to lie flat. "Who`re you?" he asked bitterly. Though his claws were sheathed, he was only subduing his anger for the moment.

Echopaw sat down and started to groom her paws but kept an eye on Matrix. "My name is Echopaw. What's your's?"

[Moon]

"Matrix. What`s the deal with wakin` me, huh?" he asked the other she-cat. His tail flicked irritably as he waited for an answer.

Echopaw looked at him and purred in amusment. He obviosly hadn't heard of the four clans or wild cats. Echopaw answered for Stormclaw. "She awoke you because you are on our territory. You don't belong here. You should go back to your towlegs, where you belong." she mewed honestly.

[Moon]

"Ha! Like that will happen! I hate my Twolegs! And according to the scent on your pelts, you two must be ShadowClan." he meowed defiantly. No way he was going to let two she-cats get the better of him.

[cherrystar]

Startled, Echopaw looked into his eyes. "Who told you about the clans." she hissed her eyes narrowing.

_She's suspicious that he is a spy for another clan_

[Moon]

"A few cats who cameto the Twolegplace and told my mom. They said they were called... oh yeah! They said they were called 'BloodClan'. At least, that`s what my mom said. But she`s dead now." he explained, flexing his claws in the dirt.

[cherrystar]

"Bloodclan! Legend says that Firestar killed their leader, Scourge. He lost a life doing it though." she said. She went on and on and on about the legend. Finally she stopped. "What did your twolegs do that made you leave?"she asked.

[Moon]

"What didn`t they do? I hate them! Matrix spat.

[cherrystar]

"Ok, what DIDN'T they do that made you leave?" she asked relising that the sun was setting.
