A bright Red Bow...
A bright light hurt my eyes as a human opened the box that I had been kept in. With an exited squeal of joy, she lifted me up, and untied the red bow around my neck. I was happy.
Something's wrong...
We played together, she walked me, fed me and brushed me, but soon she started to pay less attention to me. She read instead of taking me on walks. She forgot and fed me to late, when I was very hungry.
Goodbye Forever...
She walked out the door. I waited for her to come back, but she never did. I cried at the door for days, devastated at loosing my only, and best friend. The older humans came. They hurt me. Kicked me until I could not stand.
They were Silent...
One night they took me out. They were silent in the car. No laughing, no hugs or kisses. The rain fell on the roof of the car. Finally, they stopped. They put on my leash, and I jumped out of the car.
So Alone...
They tied me to a lamp post, and drove away. I sat down, sure that they would soon return. I started shivering. The rain had soaked my coat. I looked on blankly into never ending darkness.
They Never Came Back...
I was there alone for three whole days and nights. Waiting for them to return. I woke up on the fourth morning and something in my head snapped. They were never coming back. Part of me wanted to wail to the empty blue sky, but another part told me to forget.
They were Forgotten...
I ripped free of my leash and collar. I live by my own rules now. It's eat or be eaten. The hot sun beats down on my back, and I don't care. Because Now I am free.
This is Cane.
In this play-by-post, intermediate RPG situated in modern-day Australia, the dogs can run chain, and human free all over the city, but if you think it's all freedom and happiness, you're wrong. It's dog-eat-dog out there, and if your not careful, you could go from hunter, to hunted in a matter of seconds. Weather you travel alone, or with a companion, watch your back, because you never know what can happen.
