Oh no...The dreaded...BOREDOM!! {Open} « Thread Started on May 8, 2009, 12:34pm »
Venomwind glared at Shiningheart and Blizzardshard, her tail twitching in the air behind her. The silence between the three was tense, at least to Venomwind it was. Shiningheart and Blizzardshard looked at her innocently, their eyes wide and kitten-like. The quiet lasted a few more moments before Venomwind decided to speak. "You promise?" She growled, glaring more at her sister than Blizzardshard. She knew the only reason Blizzardshard would go along with it was because it was Shiningheart.
Just as Venomwind suspected, Shiningheart was the one that answered her. "We promise, o' sister of mine." She meowed, nearing exasperation. Really, did Venomwind think that lowly of them?
Blizzardshard nodded his agreement, frowning at Venomwind. "You act like you don't trust us!" He mewed to the gray she-cat in an accusatory tone, a pout on his lips. 'Probably because she knows she shouldn't trust us.' He thought in amusement.
Venomwind glared at Blizzardshard, suspicion clear in her blue eyes. "That's because I don't." She answered in a flat tone before shaking her head quickly. "Look, I have to go. The fresh-kill isn't going to catch itself." She sighed, looking at the nursery with a miserable expression. She knew as well as her friends that her words were wasted.
Shiningheart nodded, grinning in amusement. "Of course not, we'd be kittypets then!" She joked. The white warrior reached a paw forward, shoving her sister toward the camp entrance. "Go, go! I'm sure the hunting patrol is getting impatient!"
Venomwind snorted before touching her nose to both Shiningheart's and Blizzardshard's. She turned without another words and bounded away toward the entrance. Blizzardshard watched her go, up until the dark gray tail of his best friend's sister disappeared. He turned to Shiningheart, laughter bubbling in his chest. "So, where are we hiding them this time?" He asked her.
Shiningheart shrugged, laughing lightly. "I figure the elder's will help us with that. You know they love hiding the kits just as much as we do." She meowed with a small giggle.

Mosswhisker raised her muzzle to the air. It was hard to scent anything with her jaws laden with mice and voles, but she could still tell where camp was. She neared the camp entrance and nearly jumped out of her fur, dropping a vole, when Venomwind pushed through the entrance. The gray she cat's fur was bristling and her eyes held an exasperated gleam. Mosswhisker picked up her vole, with a small nod to Venomwind, and pushed through the tunnel that would lead to camp.
"Oh, I think I know what caused Venomwind to look so agitated," the lean gray she cat thought aloud when she heard the familiar mews of Shiningheart and Blizzardshard.
"I figure the elder's will help us with that. You know they love hiding the kits just as much as we do."
Hiding kits? Mosswhisker thought confusedly when she heard Shiningheart's mew. Her green eyes sparkled with curiosity as she passed them to get to the fresh kill pile. After dropping her load on the steadily growing pile, she crept cautiously up to the deputy and Blizzardshard. "Venomwind looked pretty steamed," the gray warrior meowed casually. "I don't suppose you two had anything to do with it, right?" she added with a mischievious edge. "Of course, though, if you need my help, I'd be glad to help with whatever grand scheme you have this time."

Shiningheart laughed, her eyes gleaming as Mosswhisker came up to them. She listened to the younger she-cat's words, and a grin split her muzzle. "I know you'd be glad to help, Mosswhisker." She mewoed, her grin widening. "And as a matter of fact, I think you can help us." She flashed a look to Blizzardshard.
Blizzardshard caught the look and smiled crookedly, almost as if he could read her mind. It was uncanny, how they seemed to know what the other was thinkign without speaking aloud. "See, Mosswhisker," he meowed, curling his tail around his paws, "we need you to stall Venomwind. She hates it when we hide the kits, because the queens panic. She wouldn't be happy with us if she knew what we were up to."

Mosswhisker was always up for a good prank. Getting into mischief and the thrill of knowing she'd get caught just made it that more fun. Her heart pounded excitedly against her rib cage when Shiningheart said that she could help. She saw the two cats exchange a mischeivious grin and Blizzardshard told her:
"See, Mosswhisker, we need you to stall Venomwind. She hates it when we hide the kits, because the queens panic. She wouldn't be happy with us if she knew what we were up to."
Even better! With Venomwind most likely becoming furious if she walked into camp while Shinigheart and Blizzardshard were working on their deviously exciting plan, it would be up to her to make sure the plan stays safe and secret. "Yeah. I can definately do that," Mosswhisker grinned, her green eyes glinting like wet leaves in sunlight. Her ears pricked and her grin melted when she heard shuffling at the camp tunnel. Is it Venomwind? she wasn't going to take the chance of letting the other warriors down and stalked quickly and silently through the tunnel to meet the cat on the other side, whether it was Venomwind or not.

Good thing Mosswhisker did go, because it was Venomwind. A small yelp sounded as Venomwind barely dodged being flattened by Mosswhisker. "Woah, there, Mosswhisker!" She meowed, reaching out a paw to make the younger warrior stop. "Where's the fire? And by that I mean, where are you going in such a hurry?"
