===Rules for the Site [IMPORTANT]=== « Thread Started on Jul 17, 2008, 6:34pm »
No one likes 'em, I know. So they'll be simple. But follow them!
General
PLEASE don't join if you think you won't be active! It really sucks when a site is inactive. So create a character within three days of your joining! This is an Ireland-centered Warriors (Erin Hunter) roleplay site. If you come here expecting wolves, high school, flying donkeys, or anything else, you're in the wrong place. If you notice a lot of WEIRD words, that's because they're in Gaelic. Translations will be provided. (NOTE: If anyone actually speaks Gaelic fluently and notices a flaw in my translation, please, TELL ME! I don't want to be wrong.) Please be polite and courteous to everyone on the site.
Creating a Character:
To create a character, fill out the form in the Create a Characters board. Please only create one character until everyone on the site has made one. That makes them easier to keep track of. (Once the site gains more than 15 members, this rule will be rescinded.) Please don't roleplay your characters until they've been accepted. This doesn't seem like it needs to be said, but you'd be surprised. And please don't give your characters ridiculous names like Melonflight. It needs to make some sort of sense! (Like, Graystripe is Graystripe because he has gray stripes. See how easy that is?)
Roleplaying
PLEASE, no one-liner posts. If you're having serious mental block, I won't require you to do very much, but please, at least five sentences. Less doesn't move the plot along. No chatspeak in roleplay posts. That's what the cbox is for. Don't use uber-flowery language, either. I've seen a couple sites where they use SUCH exotic language that you have to read the post five times to catch the meaning. Please, if you need to say eyes, say eyes. If you need to say mouth, say mouth. That makes it easier. If you need to post out-of-character in an in-character thread, put them in double parentheses ((like this)) If you feel the absolute need to swear (anything other than the mild stuff) in a post, put a warning in the title.
Miscellanious
You need a password to create a character. (It shows you've read the rules.) The password is: riabhach (it means "striped" or "tabby")
I think that's it! Anything else will be added as it comes up.
